The Week Ahead

Crypto Is Here!
Big news! Introducing Kalshi's cryptocurrency markets. Our simple, easy to trade Yes/No markets make it easier than ever to trade on the price movements of Bitcoin and Ethereum without needing to own any crypto.

Will BTC reach $90,000 by the end of the year? Will ETH be above $3,360 at 4:00 pm ET? Answer correctly, and make money.

And even if you're already a seasoned crypto bro (or crypto sis?), you can use our markets to help forecast which way prices are heading.

FOMC FOMO
The ‎Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets today and Wednesday. While most Kalshi traders and financial analysts are predicting that interest rates will remain unchanged, the meeting may end up providing a roadmap for what's in store later this year. Are Powell and company still planning on three cuts, or has persistent inflation altered the landscape?

Shutdown Standoff
Another week, another shutdown deadline. Congress has until Friday, March 22 to hash out their remaining spending bills. While the two sides reportedly have a deal, they may not be able to act in time to avoid a shutdown. Will they get it across the goal line in time?

Our Favorite Markets

Best LLM
Google and Apple are in talks to incorporate Gemini AI into iPhones. Meanwhile, Sam Altman says the next version of GPT will make us realize how much GPT-4 'sucks.' And then there's Claude AI... which I don't know anything about (sorry, Claude).

There's clearly a lot going on with AI right now. But which LLM will reign supreme?

TikTok Sale?
With Congress threatening to force the Chinese- owned Byte-Dance to sell TikTok or face a ban, prospective buyers are emerging, including a group led by former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin. But will the law pass, and if so, will Byte-Dance sell?

World's Richest?
Financially speaking, it's been a rough year for Elon Musk. While he's unlikely to go hungry any time soon, troubles with Tesla and X have knocked him down a few pegs on the World's Richest list. Will he be able to regain the title by the end of the year, or will Bernard Arnault and Jeff Bezos keep him at bay? Make your own prediction in our World's Richest market.

Did We Mention Crypto?
Oh, we did? Well, we're really excited, so we're mentioning it again.

Check out all our new crypto markets here.

Later in the week, be sure to check out...

  • Eclipse cloud cover (3/21)
  • Bud Light beer sales (3/22)
  • Starship on Mars by 2029 (3/22)

...and many more.
