Resolves Yes if the U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer leaves office or announces they will leave office before Jan 1, 2026.Outcome verified from The New York Times, the Associated Press, Reuters, Axios, Politico, Semafor, The Information, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.
Leaving office solely due to death is not encompassed by the Payout Criterion. If the U.K. Chancellor announces before Jan 1, 2026 that they will leave in 2026, the market will resolve to Yes.
