In the case of a delay in data caused by a federal government shutdown impacting the reliability of the Source Agency, the market’s latest Expiration Date will be extended to the sooner of the release of the Underlying or six months after the end of the government shutdown. If no data is released for the month of October, the ‘last available’ data that will be used to calculate the Expiration Value will be the data for the last month released prior to October, which is the data for September. This is true even if November data is released prior to the Expiration Date. The calculated value will be converted to a percentage and rounded to the nearest tenth of a percent to determine the final Expiration Value in line with BLS practice.
