If the Department of Government Efficiency and/or Elon Musk claim that there were fewer than previously recorded gold reserves in Fort Knox (as of January 2025, 147,341,858.38 troy ounces of gold) before May 1, 2025, then the market resolves to Yes. Sources from the White House, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. fiscal service, The New York Times, the Associated Press, Reuters, Axios, Politico, Semafor, The Information, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.

Merely stating that there may not be, or that there is evidence suggesting that they may not be, is not encompassed by the Payout Criterion.
