The Nasdaq Composite Index, which includes almost all stocks listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange, is one of the three most-followed stock market indices in the United States, along with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500. The index has experienced significant fluctuations over the years, including a 400% rise between 1995 and 2000 during the dot-com bubble, followed by a 78% decline by October 2002. It has since recovered, reaching milestones such as closing above 4,000 for the first time since September 7, 2000, on November 26, 2013, and trading above 10,000 for the first time on June 9, 2020.
