OpenAI's board ousted Sam Altman, the cofounder and CEO of the company, on November 17th. Mira Murati, OpenAI's CTO, was named interim CEO as the board looked for a longer term leader. On Sunday, November 20th, OpenAI's board named Emmet Shear as a new interim CEO, many suspect due to Mira siding with Sam and Greg (OpenAI's president who quit on Friday) on calling for the leadership team to be reinstated and for the board to resign.
