Resolves Yes if Congress has passed a law or the Senate has passed a treaty or agreement after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2026 that imposes new import duties, or raises import duties, on any or all countries and/or trade blocs.Outcome verified from Library of Congress.
For purposes of this Contract, Congress has passed a law when the same version of the bill has passed each chamber of Congress (final approval) and the bill has been sent to the President.
Clarification (7/16/25 at 3:15am ET): If Congress passes a bill (such as S.1241 - Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025) that creates conditional tariffs based on presidential actions, this will not count.
