Resolves Yes if a bill has become law between May 02, 2022 and May 31, 2022 that appropriates at least $3 billion for the purposes of preventing or treating COVID-19.Outcome verified from Library of Congress.
Such funding must explicitly be directed to prevent, prepare for, or respond to COVID-19 or coronavirus, including for expenses such as research and development, production, purchase, and distribution of vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, medical products, services, or supplies. For example, such funds could be appropriated, for the aforementioned purposes, to:
(1) The Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund created by the CARES Act (2) The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (3) The discretion of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (4) Relevant equipment being added to the Strategic National Stockpile (5) Contributions to global charitable organizations
