If Sam Altman is announced as the next permanent CEO of OpenAI by Dec 31, 2024, then the market resolves to Yes. Outcome verified from OpenAI.
Interim, acting, or temporary CEOs do not qualify. If there are multiple CEOs, then both persons would satisfy the Payout Criterion. It is sufficient if an announcement is made that <person> will become CEO of OpenAI, including after <date>.

On Sunday, November 20th, OpenAI's board named Emmet Shear as a new interim CEO, many suspect due to Mira siding with Sam and Greg (OpenAI's president who quit on Friday) on calling for the leadership team to be reinstated and for the board to resign.
