Resolves Yes if the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) officially announces that it will not publish any official Consumer Price Index for October 2025 before Jan 1, 2026.Outcome verified from Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Register, the White House, social media of the White House and the President of the United States, The New York Times, the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Reuters, Axios, Politico, Semafor, The Information, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and NBC.
Announcing the release of a month past October without explicitly saying October will not be released is not encompassed by the Payout Criterion. If, for example, the BLS announces in 2025 it will release October CPI data in February 2026, that is not sufficient to resolve the market to Yes.
