Clarification 09/30/2025: if the website of the Office of Personnel Management indicates that the government is at least partially shut down on October 1st, then the market will resolve to Yes. If the OPM’s website is delayed in updating with appropriate information at the Expiration Time (11AM ET), Kalshi may extend the Expiration Time pursuant to Rule 7.2(b) in its Rulebook: “If any circumstance arises which would prevent the Expiration Value from being determined accurately at Expiration, including but not limited to the rescheduling or cancellation of an event whose outcome governs a Contract’s Underlying, or delayed data from a source, Kalshi shall have the power to adjust the Expiration Date and the timing of Expiration of the Contract, which will be announced on its website.”
