METHOD
How these standings work
The Western Conference seeds fifteen clubs. The top 6 qualify for the playoffs outright; seeds 7 through 10 go to the play-in tournament, which decides the last two postseason places.
GB is games behind the conference leader, counted in half-games — a gap closes one win and one loss at a time, so 1.5 is an ordinary value rather than a rounding artefact. STRK is the current run and L10 the record over the last ten games; all three come from the league rather than being recomputed here.
The odds column is the price of a Kalshi contract on that club winning the Western Conference. It pays 100¢ if the club reaches and wins the conference finals, so its price in cents reads directly as the market's implied chance in percent.

How many teams make the playoffs from each conference?
Eight. The top 6 seeds qualify directly on record. Seeds 7 through 10 enter the play-in tournament, which decides the seventh and eighth places.
What does GB mean in the NBA standings?
Games behind the conference leader. It counts in half-games because a gap closes one win and one loss at a time, so a club one win and one loss behind is 1.0 back and a club one win behind is 0.5.
Are these Western Conference odds a Kalshi prediction?
No. They are market prices — what traders are paying for a contract that pays 100¢ if that club wins the conference. Kalshi does not forecast; the number moves whenever traders disagree with it.
