How these lineups work
Each name is the league's own projected starter at that position — the club's call, not one made here. It is published alongside the depth chart `/nba/depth-charts` prints in full, and the two normally agree. Where they do not, this is the one shown, on both pages: a starter named by the league outranks whoever happens to sit at the top of the chart.
Projected is not confirmed, and the gap matters most on the night. A club rests a starter, a late scratch changes the five, and neither reaches this feed until the league's own listing moves. The confirmed lineup appears at tip-off on the game feed, which these pages do not read.
9 of the 30 clubs here have not named a starter at every position. Those slots are left out rather than filled: a five with two guesses in it is not a lineup.
