How to read the NFL standings
The NFL has eight divisions of four teams, and all eight are on this page. A division is won by the best record in it, and the winner takes one of the conference's top four playoff seeds regardless of how its record compares with the wild cards below it — which is why the division table, not the conference table, is the one that decides who hosts a playoff game.Positions here are the league's own: the standings lane ranks each division and the NFL's tiebreaking procedures — head-to-head, division record, common games and the rest — settle teams level on record. Nothing on this page re-derives that order, so it is the same order the league publishes.The odds column is Kalshi's price that the team wins its division, as a percentage. It is a forecast of where the table finishes, so it can disagree with where the table stands today — a team leading by half a game in November can still be the second favorite, and comparing the two columns side by side is what this page is for.

NFL standings questions
How do NFL division standings work?
NFL teams are split into eight divisions of four — 32 teams in total on this page. Each division is won by the best record in it, with the NFL's tiebreaking procedures settling teams level on wins and losses. Every division winner receives a playoff berth and one of its conference's top four seeds.
What are market-implied odds to win the division?
They are the current price of a Kalshi contract that pays out if the team wins its division, read as a percentage. A team priced at 60% is one the market currently gives a 60% chance of finishing first. The prices move as games settle, so they can and do disagree with today's table.
Do Kalshi prices change the NFL standings?
No. The positions on this page are the league's own division standings, and Kalshi's prices sit beside them without affecting the order. The standings are settled on the field; the prices are a forecast of where they end up.
How are ties broken in the NFL standings?
The NFL breaks division ties in a fixed order: head-to-head record, record within the division, record in common games, record within the conference, then strength of victory and schedule. This page does not re-derive any of that — it shows the order the league itself publishes, so the tiebreakers have already been applied.
How often do these NFL standings update?
The table follows the league's standings as games settle, and the odds beside it refresh as the underlying Kalshi market prices change. The latest update time appears at the top of the page — currently Thursday, Sep 24, 2026 · 9:07 PM ET.
